Girls Devo-December 3 (Campus Care Packages)

Hey everyone! So last week the girls had our devo at my house and after our lesson we made care packages for the campus students because they had their finals coming up (they had them this past week). I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who brought stuff to put in the care packages. It was a real success. I believe we made about 37 packages and we were able to distribute all of them at the regional church service this past Sunday. The campus students were really appreciative and says thank you to everyone who helped make them. So yup, just wanted to give a little update on how everything went :)

Parent/Teen Devo

On Friday we had a Parent and Teen Devotional. It was a good time of fellowship with both parents and teens. Also, there was drinks and lots food. The lesson was done by Marty; he wanted us to have good "family meetings". He used an analogy of his life and how his kids did not really like these "family meetings". But now that his kids are gone, his kids remember how awesome those "family meetings" were. Some main points from the lesson are learning to get along with others, thinking about positive things, and being content with what you have.

R.O.S.E.S

Olivia here,

I wanted to say thank you to Teen Ministry for giving me life principals, which I can teach others and ultimately, include in my life to make it spiritually fulfilled. Today, I gave a presentation for an organization called The R.O.S.E.S (Royal Outstanding Sistahs Embracing Success). My topic was on gratitude and although I'm not a Christian yet, God spoke through me and people listened and were influenced by God's kindness. I took the liberty to include Marty's lesson on looking at the positives and Marcel's presentation on having no regrets. It was a great time of reflection and ultimately God's time to make us all more grateful in life. :)

The Time is NOW!!!

What an AWWWESOME retreat! From the games, eating together, lip sync performances, prayers, d-groups, activities, lessons, and songs....it was an amazing 24 hours with the ministry! Let's remember our decisions, the path we are walking toward, and remember the legacy we want to leave and God wants us to leave behind!!! The Time is NOW!!! ; )

Family Reunion

I just wanted to share some good news. I have told many of you that I was recently contacted by my former sister-in-law about seeing my nephew, Zavier, who I haven't seen in years. Anyhow, it happened last Thursday. My brother, Marlon, joined me to see his son play. It was awesome. Praise God and may this lead to many spiritual victories for my family.

Friday's Devo

Sorry for the late post, but Friday's devo was a different type of lesson. The main point of the lesson was to finish what we start and to be a man/woman of our word, since the teens were back from teen camp and wanted to do a lot of things spiritually.
